Neuroactive Therapy and Wellness was founded to help better serve those with neurological conditions without restrictions. At Neuroactive, we go beyond the basics that are covered with insurance-provided care and give you the frequency, intensity, and specialization you deserve for your unique condition.

We want to be part of your team, helping you navigate this new chapter. We are breaking the barriers of traditional therapy by allowing you the freedom and flexibility to choose where your therapy takes place, how intensive the frequency of your therapy is, providing holistic treatment centered on your goals, and motivating you to continue to be an active part of your world.

Neuroactive is a good fit if:

  • You recognize the benefit of frequency and intensity in physical therapy after a neurological diagnosis. You want to maximize your recovery and want more therapy than your insurance covers.

  • You want to try a different approach to physical therapy with specialists who focus on treatments proven by research.

  • You completed physical therapy but still have goals.

  • You want targeted and experienced training in getting back to things that are community based or recreational — returning to golfing, hiking, traveling, or simply feeling more confident going out to restaurants or shopping.

  • You want to have a robust exercise program prescribed by a physical therapist who understands your diagnosis and can teach you how to be effective in the program.

What makes Neuroactive Therapy and Wellness Unique?

  1. Convenience

Being a mobile practice means we primarily deliver care in our patient’s own home. This allows us to troubleshoot real world mobility problems and help you to become more independent and safe in your own environment (no more simulation, just doing the real thing). It also saves you time and hassle (no more difficult parking, extra car transfers, travel time).

In addition, you can also choose any other location you want to be active in. Sessions can occur at the park, on the golf course, on your favorite hiking trial, at the grocery store, at your job, in your pool, or any other location where you want to learn the best and safest way to mobilize and thrive.

  2. Specialization

We don’t treat people with orthopedic problems or other issues most PT clinics address. We only treat people with neurological diagnoses- stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, vestibular impairments, MS, Parkinson’s, etc. That is because both therapists at Neuroactive are board certified specialists in neurological physical therapy with extensive experience treating neurological conditions. That means we are laser focused and skilled at addressing issues related to neurological disorders.

  3. Value

A session with Neuroactive is, at minimum, a full hour of intense, research-based, individualized therapy or wellness visits. There are no distractions from you. No being passed to another clinician who doesn’t know you, no doing exercises with non-skilled techs, and no other patients being treated at the same time. You, your goals, and your progress have our whole, undivided attention throughout your whole visit. And if you would benefit from a longer session, we do that. No insurance restrictions means we can do what is best for you and your recovery.

  4. Focus

Your goals are the goals we will work towards. We will take time to listen. We want to know what motivates you, what you are struggling with, and what you want to get back to doing. That way we can tailor your treatment to what matters to you. We are passionate about exploring all avenues to give you the best results possible.

  5. Dedication

Neuroactive is a small practice. We are not seeing 20 patients a day, scattered, and burnt out. We are doing things different than the traditional outpatient PT model so that we can be a part of each patient’s team, in their corner, and dedicated to getting them better. When you are part of our client base, we are committed to helping you meet your mobility goals.
